With more than 20,000 members, the Arizona Education Association is the largest professional association for public school employees in Arizona. AEA was formed more than a century ago, in 1892, when a group of Arizona educators banded together to protest the use of 14-year-old textbooks. Since then AEA continues to take the lead in advocating for support of Arizona's public schools, improving the quality of public education through positive change, and improving the professional lives of teachers and school staff members.

Community Endorsements

"I support Joe Bisaccia for AZ State Representative in LD 12 because he is an educator and journalist. Joe understands the need to adequately fund public school districts. He believes in local control for and by local cities and towns. He understands that tax breaks don't stimulate economic activity, they stimulate corporate relocation on a short term basis. I encourage my friends and neighbors in Queen Creek and Gilbert to say no to the establishment candidates who serve their party but not the people. In the August Democratic primary I urge you to vote for Joe Bisaccia in LD 12."

-Robin Benning, Town of Queen Creek Councilmember

"As a former councilmember for Gilbert, I have had a front seat to the growth of our community and the needs that the town has. That is why I support Joe Bisaccia for State Rep for LD12.  A science and technology teacher here in Gilbert, Joe looks at problems and sees the new ways we need to address the good problems created by growth and success in order to continue making our community the best it can be.  That knowledge, and willingness to get things done, means Joe is the one who can win in November."

-Maggie Cathey, former Vice Mayor of GIlbert

"I have had the opportunity to listen to the candidates and Joe Bisaccia is well informed about the challenges that are critical to our state.  He will represent the electorate of LD12 and our community in an ethical, fair, and honest manner.  Joe has expressed, to me, that a strong educational system is a key factor in supporting our economy and fostering opportunity for all within our state.  Joe Bisaccia will be a passionate voice in the legislature who will be an advocate for the people of our community.  I support his candidacy for the Arizona House of Representatives and urge you to cast one vote for Joe Bisaccia."

-Dr. J. Charles Santa Cruz, Gilbert School District Board Member

"Joe Bisaccia is the right candidate for LD12. As a science and technology teacher, Joe knows what needs to be done to build a future for Arizona that provides quality educational opportunities, innovation, and a clean environment. He represents our values and has a willingness to get things done in our legislature."

-Dale Volz, former educator and 43-year resident of Gilbert

"I encourage my friends and neighbors in Gilbert to vote for Joe because I am confident that he is our candidate."

-Laura Orozco Allen, Gilbert resident
